Adgator Advertising and Affiliate Network

Adgator advertising and affiliate network has just launched and offers opportunities for advertisers and bloggers around South Africa. This has got to be a great thing as it is headed up by a guy called Justin and we all know that anyone with such a cool name as that is destined for success..!

Ok, joking aside, Justin Hartman is the MD and co-founder of Afrigator, ‘Africa’s largest social media aggregator and blog directory’. Afrigator has become a very successful model which was recently acquired by South African MIH Group/Naspers. CNN’s business 2.0 called afrigator one of 31 top companies to watch outside of the United States. So there you have it, Justin Hartman, and his colleagues obviously know what it takes to drive a successful online business and personally I have no doubt that the new Adgator project is going to be a huge success.

Advertisers and media planners are offered the opportunity to sign up and request a free custom proposal and will be given a shot at advertising to an estimated 1,770,000 + unique people every month across South Africa’s blog network. For blog owners looking at a new and great way to make money online in South Africa, the opportunity is available to sign up as a publisher and display those ads within your website. This unique opportunity offers a publisher a 50% share of the revenue..! That is awesome. The earnings are based on the ECPM model (cost per thousand impressions) so those who have massive monthly pageview figures are going to coin it..!

I have to admit, this is quite exciting and I have felt for a long time that SA needed a more professionaly run advertising and affiliate network available to people who are serious about online business. Could this be the one? Check out the Adgator Blog Network.

Hi Ben, thanks for your comment.

I think it’s because they cover more than just SA, it’s the whole of Africa. ‘Africa’s largest social media aggregator and blog directory’.

This is very exciting news, I’ll sign up now for my blog. 50%! Wow! Now that’s a lot they’re paying, unlike most affiliate networks.

Brilliant idea as normally we have to rely on overseas advertising. I signed up yesterday.

If we get good local response then we can stop using the overseas advertisers that some of us have already got on our blogs.

Social aggregators such as this do well to bring material that is destined to be read by more individuals to the forefront of the site. Without blog directories being created, it would be tougher to find similar sites, or to have a sense of structure in the blogging system. Doing it in the context of a specific country would do quite a bit to boost the participation in blogs of that country.
