Google Adsense Stats In Google Analytics Accounts

Ok, so I read about this here a while ago and at the time didn’t take much notice really but low and behold while I was checking my AdSense earnings today I noticed I had an invite to integrate my AdSense account with my Analytics account… Stoked..! Given the fact that I am managing over 20 online projects at the moment, most of which are running AdSense I now need to inject the code into each and every site for this to start working. Anyway, not that hectic so I am going to experiment with this and report back on some results in a later article.

Is anybody else using this at the moment? I know it is by invite only that you can do this so I would imagine Google have only just got around to inviting South Africans but it would be great to hear from another publisher/s that has been tracking this.

From what I have read this will allow us to track a lot more detailed information on the type of visitors that are clicking on ads and on which ads they are clicking etc etc. At this stage I do not know enough about it but am looking forward to seeing the results and hopefully using the information to further tweak things and increase the online earnings a bit.

To be completely honest I think I sometimes get way to wrapped up in statistics when it comes to making money on the web and tracking things etc and can easily spend half the day analysing when I should be researching and pumping out the content. In the same breath it is important to analyse somewhat and know what is working and what isn’t and I am definitely looking forward to seeing some more detailed information about which of my AdSense formats are pulling in the cash, from exactly which pages, topics and visitor types.

If you have had experience with the integration of your Google Adsense stats in your Analytics account please leave a comment and share your experience so far, would be great to hear how it’s helped you.

I think it’s a great idea. Should make it much easier to optimize how to monetize a website. I’ve applied for this feature but still haven’t gotten a response. I’m looking forward to when the feature goes public.

To be honest, I’ve been a bit intimidated by the stats figures and graphs of Google Analytics, but I am in the process of understanding the entire function. We’re already using Google Analytics to check on our sites performance here at work and we are encouraged to all learn more about them as there’s currently only one person who does our analytics.

Hi Thando, thanks for popping in.

Without google analytics I would be earning an estimated half of what I am now making online. Definitely coming in handy, not so sure about this whole integration of adsense stats into analytics though, haven’t figured out yet how it is of benefit at the moment.
