Make Money Online With Project Wonderful

Recently I joined Project Wonderful. Project Wonderful is an Internet advertising program for website owners that seems to be gaining popularity within the online world and for those wanting to make money online with websites and blogs.

First off I have to say I really like the Project Wonderful website. Simplicity, right up my alley!

A user friendly website which is well designed and easy to find your way around and get a feel for what’s going on and how the Project Wonderful program works. So first impressions when navigating the site were good. After my initial registration it took about 3-4 days before my site was accepted into the Project Wonderful program after which I was given login details to set up my profile, ad boxes etc.

By the way, if you do sign up with Project Wonderful don’t worry if they seem to be taking a while to approve your registration. I’ve learnt that some people get approved within an hour or two while others have waited a week or so to get their site approved.

I can’t go into detail here without posting an essay sized post so I’m just going to do my best to highlight the main points of the Project Wonderful Advertising program from a publishers perspective.

Briefly How Project Wonderful Works:

It’s an Auction - Advertisers bid against each other for daily advertising space on your website. The advertisers decide how much they are willing to pay for a spot on your site for the day and when they’re prepared to pay it. Whichever advertiser is prepared to pay the most for that space gets their ad shown.

Price Control - As a publisher you have control over the bidding so you can set a starting price if you like. Although I have to say I feel in the beginning you are better off keeping the starting bid at zero to attract your first advertisers.

More Control - A publisher has control over other things such as setting terms of the auction and also canceling any bids you don’t like.

Even More Control - Other things a publisher has control over are having ads auto approved or manually approving ads. You can put a censorship rating on the type of ads that get displayed if you want to avoid pornography ads etc. You can choose to accept only graphical ads, only text ads or both. And there are other settings you can apply when setting up your first ad box.

Ad Box Formats – Project Wonderful gives you quite a nice choice of ad formats. You can go for button ads, squares (that’s what I’m currently displaying in my sidebar), half banners, full banners, leaderboards and skyscrapers. If you go for the 125×125 squares format for example, you also get to choose how many rows and columns to display. You can see by mine that I’ve gone for the two by two.

Inject Your Ad Code - Once you’ve decided on your ad formats and set up your preferences then it’s just a matter of getting the supplied code, copying and pasting into your site and waiting for the bidding to begin.

It only took a day for advertisers to start bidding on my project wonderful ad space, the default “Your Ad Here” squares were gone and my new clients adverts started showing. Project Wonderful terms their advertising as CPD (Cost Per Day) advertising as bidding and advertising takes place on a day to day basis.

How Project Wonderful Makes A Profit:

They take a 25% cut of your earnings, that’s not bad at all! They give you this efficient system and all the tools you need to offer the advertising space on your site to advertisers making it all automated so you needn’t lift a finger and you get 75% of the takings. I say that’s a pretty good deal.

Unlike google adsense and other advertising programs, project wonderful allows you to request a pay out as soon as your funds reach only $10. You can also keep the funds in your account and become an advertiser yourself using the money you’ve earnt to advertise and promote your site on other websites within the project wonderful network.

All in all I rate it as a win-win system and one that I am impressed with. So far I’ve only made about 50c but It’s only been a few days and I will do a proper feedback report after another month or so to see just how wonderful this project is doing for my online earnings.

I also intend on giving some tips on how to get the most out of Project Wonderful in a future post… Watch this space!

Has anyone tried Etology yet? I’ve been using this service for a few months now and so far I’m quite happy with the results. Project Wonderful is nice, but I wasn’t happy with my overall earnings. Therefore, I started searching for something better and eventually found Etology. One of the nice things about Etology is that you can set your own prices, which in the long run equals higher earnings.
