New Record – First $100 Day With Google AdSense

I am pretty stoked today as I sit here and type this post because when I logged in to check my google AdSense earnings this morning at 10:30am it showed me that yesterday (Monday 5th Jan 2009) I hit a new daily record… $105.60c for the day. What a great start to the New Year…! This has been coming for some time now as I have been hitting the $70-$80 a day mark at times and my earnings have been going from good to great.
What’s exciting about this new record is that it proves that you can make money online in South Africa with the google AdSense program and get paid in dollars. Interestingly, most of my revenue comes from SA visitors to SA targetted websites. I should point out as well that not all my earnings come through this blog, I have other projects running online based on various topics which display ads. One of my main goals for 2009 is to be earning $100 a day with google AdSense on a consistent basis which will translate to a ‘good little earner’ as part of my online business ventures.
I feel that this gives my readers and casual visitors hope that earning an income online is a definite reality. It also (hopefully) quietens a few critics who kindly sent emails expressing how they do not believe that I am making a living on the Internet and should not be writing on the topic. I’m not the only guy in South Africa earning a reasonable amount of money online either, there are many other people making money with the google AdSense program in this country.

It Happened Again…! Now I’m super stoked, two days in a row my AdSense earnings have been just over the 100 dollar day mark, I’m unusually lost for words..!

Between 1500-2000 impressions a day at the moment. That’s across different projects in different niche markets.

Yeh it’s a combination really, higher paid niches, keyword rich and well written content plus SEO work, optimisation of the ads, placement etc. It’s the result of looooong hours of research, trial, error and sleepless nights..!
Also, what’s working well for one site doesn’t necessarily work the same for another.

It’s different sites within several niches, a few do well one day and a few not so well and the next day vice-versa and so-on.

Well at one stage I hit a bit of a rough financial patch and had to try pull something out the bag to survive..! AdSense saved my arse..!

Wow, well done Justin. It seems like there’s still few people active on the net in South Africa. I started blogging only last year in March and still come across people who say “huh?” when I utter the word “blog” or “blogging”.
I’m planning on going big into blogging this year as lot can be achieved. I haven’t been as committed to my blogging as I’d like to be last year, so this year will be different.
How are your earnings going on the “Afrigator” affiliate scheme?

The Adgator program is working quite nicely for me, not earned a great deal yet but I’m positive it is going to become a great earner for all SA bloggers in the near future. Hope so anyway…!

Well done Justin – we hope you are still doing so well with your earnings from Google adsense. We are two more South Africans who use adsense on our sites and blogs, but are not yet earning anything close to what you mention in this post – all the same, we were proud to receive our first check in the mail yesterday (R1000.) but this was after a year. Luckily, we are adding more and more content/pages to our sites whenever we get a chance, and it looks like within two or three months, we’ll hopefully be at R500 per month, and from there, hopefully it will just continue growing, as we work at adding more to our sites, offering more for our visitors to read through.
We are firm believers that Google adsense can be a nice little form of extra income, and possibly quite a bit more than just little, if people just spend a bit of time working at it.
