		<description>I use WordPress as my blogging platform because it has many great plugins.  One that I use for SEO is HeadSpace 2.

Apart from that, make sure that your blog is set to ping various announcing sites (a list of these is also available on the wordpress.org site).  Make sure you ping Technorati! 

Note that by default WordPress is NOT set to announce your blog posts.

Apart from that, do some Google analysis for related keywords and use these (sparingly) in your title and post.

Without traffic, everything else is wasted time!
