WordPress and Google AdSense make good Bedfellows

The Google AdSense program works very well when used in conjunction with WordPress blogs or websites and is one of the many different ways of making money online. Now people may tell you that WordPress is really easy to install and use but unless you have some experience with web design or a clear understanding on HTML or PHP code it is not as straight forward as you may be led to believe and getting AdSense to work well within a blog or website will at times require you to edit some code. Anyway, this is not information on how to setup a WordPress blog, it’s more of a tip regarding what two programs work very well together for people who do have some basic knowledge of the web and code and want to make some extra money online.
I personally am having some good success using WordPress and Google AdSense together on some projects and will give you a few reasons as to why I believe this is so. Firstly, WordPress blogs are very search engine friendly. Once you get the hang of the framework and how to edit and add various things within your admin panel there are plug-ins available online that can make your blog or site even more search engine friendly and a great chance of achieving decent rankings in the search engines. Getting good rankings in the search engines is important as most of your traffic will usually come from people using these engines to search on various topics.
Another reason WordPress is handy to use is that through the use of plug-ins or by editing the code you can have ads appearing on your pages and posts automatically without having to enter the ad code individually each time. With a normal HTML website this is more difficult and usually you need to add the code to display Google AdSense on each and every page within a website. This can become really time consuming as your site grows and painful if you want to experiment with different formats, colours or even change everything further down the line because you will need to edit each and every page. Not the case when you are using a cool WorPress plug-in or have added your AdSense code to certain PHP files within WP.
Once you have a blog or website set-up properly using WP then it becomes relatively easy to experiment with different ad positions on your site. Changing from displaying Google ads in the sidebar to within posts, in the header, below posts or in the footer of a blog and experimenting with different formats and colours can be done and changed within minutes. This all allows you to experiment over time so that you can optimise your earnings online and know exactly what formats and ad positioning is working the best for your site. Of course, and as I always stress, this is not a get rich quick scheme but when studied and implemented correctly after much experimentation it is possible to make a decent income online using the WordPress framework and the Google AdSense program together with each other.
